This feisty documentary investigates the inner workings of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), the organization responsible for the current ratings system. Dick hires private eyes to park outside nondescript Los Angeles offices, scribbling license plate numbers and snapping photos. He interviews filmmakers and scholars on their opinions of the people who guide America's movie-goers. The question of who serves on the boards, and what criteria they use to make decisions, proves to have a more complex answer than anyone would have thought.
