directed by various

This program features Picture Perfect (2006, mini-DV, 7 mins), 2006), directed by Meredith Holch, which combines animation with documentary audio to pay tribute to the deterioration and transformation of farm life in rural Vermont; Arise! Walk Dog Eat Donut (1999, DVCam, 30 mins), directed by Ken Kobland, a structuralist film about routine and the fleeting and amorphous nature of memory, in which Kobland loops a Russian ballad from the 1940s over a series of tracking shots taken from elevated trains; and B/SIDE (1996, 16mm, 38 mins), directed by Abigail Child, a powerful audiovisual collage, featuring both documentary and narrative elements and edited at MacDowell, which meditates on New York's downtown homeless population.
