Ratatouille, the eighth feature from Pixar, is about a rat named Remy who lives with his rodent brood in the French countryside and fulfills his dream of becoming a great chef in a legendary Parisian restaurant. Remy adores the late, great chef Auguste Gusteau, whose motto is "Anyone can cook." At Gusteau's restaurant, Remy colludes with Linguini, the scullery boy, to whip up culinary masterpieces. Linguini has no talent for cooking and is acting as a front for Remy, who hides under the boy's toque and pulls his hair to direct him to the right ingredients. "A nearly flawless piece of popular art, as well as one of the most persuasive portraits of an artist ever committed to film. It provides the kind of deep, transporting pleasure, at once simple and sophisticated, that movies at their best have always promised." (A.O Scott, NY Times) More at disney.go.com 35mm Cinemascope
