early fall 2007 series

Who doesn’t love zombies, those adorable, cuddly, flesh-eating undead creatures that have graced our movie screens and our nightmares? From George Romero’s genre-making, lumbering brain chompers, to Danny Boyle’s viral sprinters, we’ve spent decades on the edge of our seats hoping the not-yet-undead will somehow win out. And we head back home and re-read The Zombie Survival Guide.

Join us in this calendar for three films exploring the zombie menace: Planet Terror, Robert Rodriguez’s contribution to Grindhouse, where a one-legged stripper with a machine gun leg extension and her posse stand up to the nuclear-waste-created undead; 28 Weeks Later, which revisits Boyle’s zombie-raged England as the zombie virus makes a comeback; and Fido, a refreshingly funny look at a world after the Zombie Wars, when the undead are relegated to a servant class and won’t nibble on your warm, tasty flesh unless their collars are removed. Needless to say, don’t touch that collar!
